Job Shadowing
and Work Opportunities
We partnered with schools (Clatsop Community College), vocational programs, and companies to provide job shadowing, internships, apprenticeships, mentorship (all the ships!), plus career fair and other hands-on learning and volunteer opportunities for youth to get a feel for the industry. Various partnerships are in the works, but if you are in the sailing, maritime, or marine science fields, please reach out to us to see what we can create for your future workforce!
These opportunities enrich and diversify the sailing community, and translates into a career trajectory, create pipeline for youth to find fulfillment in employment with local maritime companies, and engages after-school programs.

Shadowing Experience and Job Opportunities
West Coast Sailing offers Sail2Change participants job shadowing to provide exposure in the maritime industry. Sail2Change youth may qualify for job opportunities, seasonal or permanent work.
