SAIL2CHANGE WORKS IN PROUD PARTNERSHIP WITH

WILLAMETTE SAILING CLUB

Excellent in small boat sailing since 1961

Our partners at Willamette Sailing Club organizes the Nautical Education portion of the summer program. Our participants learn sailing basics and how to be self-sufficient on the water in a dinghy and other small sailboats. While there is a focus on education and safety, there is no shortage of fun to be had with day trips around Ross Island, sailing into downtown Portland and anywhere else you can travel to by way of water and wind.

Our partners at Clatsop Community College’s Maritime Science Department (MSD) offers specialized maritime training programs and courses including a 2-year U.S.C.G approved Training Ship Program and a 1-year Certificate Program in addition to individual courses for those with entry skill levels and for mariners employed within the industry.

ISLAND SAILING CLUB

It's time to turn the motor off

Island Sailing Club was founded in 1979 by Northwest sailors inspired to learn, explore and have fun sailing. They taught others to sail, more sailors joined and humble inspiration became a passion to create the Northwest’s best sailing school and club. What worked then still works today: experienced instructors train students to the highest standards, sailors join our club to sail affordably, the fleet has grown, and we sail out of multiple NW locations.

Island Sailing Club offers Sail2Change participants with online ASA 101 Learn to Sail and 102 Basic Cruising courses.

A non-profit for the future of sailing

OYSF aims to keep sailing alive and active in Oregon by making it accessible to young people, with a focus on those who otherwise would not have the opportunity to be on the water. The programs we support connect youth to the joy of sailing and the life skills and confidence it helps build.

Oregon Youth Sailing Foundations stepped up during a COVID to help us make sure we had hands-on programming for our students through Willamette Sailing Club.

NAUTICED
