BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Sail2Change invites you to make a difference in the lives of youth. Become a member of our committees, join our Board of Directors, volunteer at events or during our programs, or inspire our youth through mentorship.

MONTHLY EVENT FACILITATOR 

We welcome passionate individuals who would like to facilitate educational events for the youth in our community. Some group led activities include; recreational events, presentation of edible plants, building fires and shelters, navigation, ecology, and a few others depending on your expertise.

YOUTH MENTOR

We partner with JourneyMen to train our mentor volunteers. A youth mentor is also responsible for helping the youth establish their personal goals like improving academic grades or pursuing a degree in college. More resonsibilities include guiding and helping children make action plans and to motivate and inspire children.
All Hands In

Volunteer Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisor

The volunteer DEI Advisor position has a high level of discretion in carrying out duties and assignments and the position responsibilities are broad in scope, strategic in nature, and impact all of the organization's operations, programs, and partnerships. The volunteer serves as a guide and resource person for management and staff in the areas of diversity, inclusion, and equity.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

This is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual who is passionate about Sail2Change’s mission and who has a track record of board leadership. Selected Board Members will have achieved leadership stature in business, government, philanthropy, or in the nonprofit sector. Their accomplishments will allow them to attract other well-qualified, high-performing Board Members.
